Born Beccles (sic), resident Catford. Birth registered June 1878 in Wayland Registration District, son of Robert and Sarah Goddard, he was born at Breckles and resident at Breckles Drift, Breckles according to the 1881 and 1891 censuses. Second Lieutenant AUGUSTUS HETHERSETT HEMSWORTH King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry who died age 20 on 6 June 1915. Son of Augustus Noel Campbell Hemsworth and Augusta Sophia Maude Hemsworth, of Shropham House, Shropham. BRECKLES (ST. MARGARET) CHURCHYARD. Augustus is also remembered on the Shropham War Memorial. In addition the altar reredos in Shropham church is also dedicated to him.
