Arthur Beck was a nephew of Captain Frank Beck who commanded the Sandringham Company of the 1/5th Norfolks. Before the war Frank was the land agent at Sandringham and a friend of the King. David Jason played Frank Beck in the BBC production "All the King's Men". There is also a book with the same title by Nigel McCrery. It tells the story of the "The Vanished Battalion"
